It’s been ages since the last event in KL so it’s about time we got another outlaw going! We’re keeping it simple and fun this time, no fancy sponsors, just a fun day of friendly competition followed by some freeriding!

Date: May 10, 2014 (Saturday)
Time: 8AM to 5PM
Location: KKB
Entry fee: RM5 per race / KKB Freeride is free
Prizes: All entry fees will be used as $$$ winnings for the finalists of each race. We’ll try and work on getting some swag too.

1. KKB Chilling Chinese Downhill Race (Beginner friendly)

This will be a chinese downhill elimination race. All riders will be sent down the hill at once, and the last 4 to finish gets eliminated. The remaining racers will be sent down all together once again and the process is repeated til we reach the finals.

Note: Only the hairpin section will be closed during the race, all other parts of the race will be OPEN ROAD.

2. KKB Highway Team Race

This will be a team race with a round robin race format (all teams will get a chance to race each other!). Racers will race in teams of twos. Three teams will race in each heat and each individual will earn points for their team based on their position in each heat. At the end of the race, the team with the lowest number of points will win!

Note: KKB Highway will be an OPEN ROAD (it goes one way down only).

3. KKB Freeride
Absolutely free and easy! Go freeride!

LEARNING CURVE: LIBRARY TIME ATTACK

Come one, come all to this race to become King of the Hill!

Go all out to nail your best time on this fun course.
Go back to basics, with one sweeper and two 90* corners, left AND right.

The track is of a dead-ended narrow road, and the spot is right behind a library in Shah Alam, with greenery and shades that makes up for a chill spot. There is also a cafe a (very) short walk away for riders to touch down after a tiring session.


And end the day with a chill freeride session!
Who says library is no fun?

Format: Time Attack
2/3 Time trials per rider (TBC)
Best time will be chosen among runs, rider with fastest lap time will be the winner!

*No skin policy is not compulsory but recommended

You might have seen skate in the bowls, parks and downhill. She's one of the leading or only Malaysian female skateboarder who make a big success in the longboarding scene not just locally but international too. The 7th annual Monsoon Mayhem International Surf Challenge returns to Desaru Beach in Malaysia from 4-6 January 2013 as a 2-star Asian Surfing Championship event, which will draw both professional and amateur surfers from all over South East Asia including Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan to compete for the $14,000 MYR ($4,600 USD) in total prize money and ASC championship points, and just to have heaps of fun at this unique event.

Located just east of Johor Baru in Malaysia and the closest surfing beach to Singapore, Desaru Beach is a white sand strip of beachbreak that can offer up peaceful glassy conditions as well as thumping closeouts during the monsoon season, so what will be on offer each year is anybody’s guess. Mother Nature is a fickle beast and each year does her best to make sure that the event lives up to its “Mayhem” moniker.

There will be surfing competitions in four categories, Men’s Open, Women’s Open Masters (35 years of age and older), and Bodyboard), as well the Slide Jam Longboarding Competition, which saw tremendous success last year and is expected to draw skaters from all over Malaysia and Singapore to compete for the $1,000 RM first place prize.
