LAZCA SKATESHOP

You guys / gals heard about them recently on facebook. Yes, they are spreading fast and even organised few comps and even tour lately. Lazca is a new skateshop owned by Mohd Kahiri (Keri) from Negeri Sembilan.

He choose Shah Alam because it's the suitable location yet cheaper rent compare to Kuala Lumpur or Klang city. Also more sales marketing range on students and teenagers around the area.

Just some chill skate seyson at KKB. Bring safety gear if you have any. No boards but wanna join in? Just come! Bring loads of water. Downhill max speed is around 60+. Its basily just sweepers (No sharp turns) so you dont need to have super sticky wheels or strictly "DH" wheels.

IF you need directions or anything else let us or anyone of the Longboarders Guild of Malaysia / Longboard Freeride of Malaysia & Malaya Street Bombers know

Got someone to bring? Just bring them! The more the merrier. :) PS its freaking hot over there, so bring sunblock if you want to. Bring a towel too!

HONG KONG NEWEST SKATEPARK: FANLING SKATEPARK

Here's a couple of images of Fanling Skatepark in Hong Kong. The newest skatepark made by the guys from Convic. Yet the best so far we guess. We can't recall how many skatepark they have now in Hong Kong but most of them seems to be really good in construction and this was cost for HK$51Million. Damn, we wish we can go there someday.

Recently on 24th September; all Hong Kong's extreme athletes had the chances to test ride the park and they were happy with it. Skatepark will be fully open on November 2011. READ MORE HERE

WAYWARD SON: JORDAN RICHTER SCREENING @ SINGAPORE

For those who missed out the screening at KL and Penang recently. You all still have the chances to watch them in Singapore organise by MuzlimBuzz.sg, in collaboration with SimplyIslam.sg.

These special screening cum discussion with Mustafa Davis, a famous film director from USA. He has recently released a short film entitled "Wayward Son - The Jordan Richter Story", an intimate story of professional skateboarder Jordan Richter and his rise and disappearance from the sport of Skateboarding. Jordan embraced the religion of Islam in the mid 90’s and out of what he felt was a religious obligation, dropped out of the sport. 15 years later he realizes that skateboarding is not prohibited in Islam and starts competing again. Why it took him 15 years to realize it? Well watch the documentary and you can have Q&A session after the screening. THI SCREENING IS A MUST SEE

Besides screening Mustafa’s award winning documentaries DeenTight and The Wayward Son: The Jordan Richter Story3, and dialogue and Q&A sessions. At the same time, Mustafa Davis will conduct workshops on Advanced Video Production and Photography, and hold motivational talks for youths and discussions on youth engagement for da’wah organizations. Please take note that these documentaries does not available in DVD format in the future or cinemas. Mustafa is an independent film-makers. They only do screenings and sell films to TV channels. So don't missed this one.
