The Winchester SkatePark opened with a bang, closed with a whimper and had plenty of both in between. During a three-year run of concussions and compound fractures that ended 30 years ago Saturday, the only thing that remained unbroken was the park's ability to deliver hellacious high-speed fun.
The Winchester Skatepark was arguably one of the best 1st generation skateparks ever built. Located in San Jose, CA between 1978 and 81 it became the center of the skateboarding scene in San Jose, influencing the punk skateboarding movement and introducing the world to Steve Caballero. To commemorate the park The Blank Club is having a 30th Reunion party today with a night to see old friends and share old photos and memorabilia.

SKATEBOARDING IN BURMA / MYANMAR
You might have seen it on Wheel Love few weeks back or maybe somewhere else about a group of Englishmen travel to Burma filming skateboarding. If you have not seen it then let's do another round of intro about the famous "Skateboarding monks in Burma" video.
Three skateboarding filmmakers from the United Kingdom headed into Myanmar and come out with a cool little film that mixes skateboard stunts, travelogue and social observation
Their film, called "Altered Focus: Burma" and made public 5 months ago, sees them discover a functional, if somewhat run-down skate park -- "Burma's version of Romford skatepark in England" -- where they hook up with some local skaters to swap tricks; head to a local school to give impromptu English lessons; and hear jokes from the Mustache Brothers, who have to perform from their home, as they are under house arrest.

Map to Camp ABC and race route - Click the map below and you can see there's 2 exit. From KL towards Karak Highway; Exit - 803 Genting Sempah and go thru the back road or exit 804 Bukit Tinggi. In the map, look for Pintu Gerbang. Go up thru the "Pintu gerbang" and go straight and look for Camp ABC signboard. Registration and camp setup is there. As for the race road, it is the one before Pintu Gerbang written TO BENTONG OLD ROAD. That's the race route. Cheers
