BONES BRIGADE: AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY TRAILER

It's not a death metal band, an extreme diet club or historic dominoes association—the Bones Brigade was a talented gang of teenage outcasts. Unmotivated by fame or popularity, they completely dedicated their lives to a disrespected art form. For most of the 1980s, this misfit crew headed by a 1970s ex-skateboard champion blasted the industry with a mixture of art and raw talent becoming the most popular skateboarding team in history. The core unit of the Bones Brigade built an empire that covered the world. They dominated contests, made hundreds of thousands of dollars, created the modern skateboard video, reinvented endemic advertising, pushed skate progression into a new era, and set the stage for a totally new form of skating called street style. There's nothing comparable in today's skateboarding.

Congrats to American Tom Schaar for taking the win in Mini Mega at the Asian X Games. Tom put some amazing stuff together including a 1080 in one of his runs to beat out Brazilian's Bob Burnquist and Ronaldo Gomes. On the Vert, veteran Andy Mac put amazing last run toigether to edge out the field to take the gold. And in Street, Milton Martinez edged out Greg Lutzka to take the gold.

GLEN CHARNOSKI RETURNS!

Veteran skater Glen Charnoski (brother to Vert legend Rick Charnoski) visits Malaysia once again (Arriving KL on Monday). Not sure how long but watched him ripped the bowls in Shah Alam and Putrajaya. Glen has been skating all over the world and interest has lead him to get involved as a Skateboard Consultant (Boulder Skatepark Project), teaching skateboarding at Woodward and coaching with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Malaysia (2002-04).

Check out the contest video above. Glen won 1st in the contest for GvR 2007 Grand Master division against others legendaries ripper. Anyway, Glen is currently rides for SOL skateboards (no more with Conspiracy skateoards).

ARINA FLY OFF TO EURO PART 2 / NOW WITH QUIKSILVER

Arina flew off to Sweden (Europe) yesterday afternoon after got funding from Sejuta Impian (new reality TV3 show coming on 15th May). He will be there competing and training for a year to gain experience and advance his career.

Before on his way to airport, Arina managed to get a new sponsorship from Quiksilver. Congratulations Arina!! Good luck and make us proud!

VERT ATTACK 5

Our local pro Arina Rahman from Triangle Team were invited but then couldn't make it due to travelling sponsorship problem. If everything goes as plan, he may compete in Europe by mid this year again. Anyway, here's the teaser Vert attack 5; an amazing event put on by John Magnusson and his crew at Bryggeriet skatepark, Sweden.
