CONVERSE CONS ASIA PACIFIC PRESENTS THE LION AND TIGER TOUR

Last month, Converse CONS Asia Pacific skate ambassadors Geng Jakkarin, Lert Saeri, Jeff Gonzales, Tao Kitpullap and Absar Lebeh hit the road through Singapore and Malaysia to skate and enjoy some local spots. Check out the team killing it on their tropical adventure.

SIBLING SKATEBOARDS X SCREWTHEBOX - BANGKOK IMPROMPTOUR

At the tail end of 2013, 2 Sibling Skateboard rider traveled to Bangkok, Gjoy Azizul and Alif Suhaimi alongside Absar Lebeh from Indonesia.

This is their journey taken from Malaysia to Bangkok, Thailand.

22hrs train ride, endless search for spots; all in the midst of street demo in Bangkok.

SIBLING SKATEBOARDS: AKYB AFANDI AT RAMA 8

Akyb Afandi took 20 hour train ride to Bangkok from his home town, Alor Setar to see what Bangkok have to offer. He did this short clip while he was there at Rama 8 Skatepark. Sick skatepark located Under the bridge of Rama 8. With the river view, its just awesome place to skate.

They had traveled 22 hour train ride to do a coverage on the Demo by Fallen Team! It was a sick event. Almost all Fallen team was there including Jamie Thomas, Tommy Sandoval and many others. Hopefully next time they will drop by Malaysia to do the demo!

BANGKOK VANS GO SKATEBOARDING DAY 2012

Vans Go Skateboarding Day 2012 with Preduce and the Rama VIII crew. 

All day long activities

- 10am. First pick up by Free Shuttle Bus in front of Preduce Siam for skaters wanting to come skate in the streets.
- 11am. Meeting with all the skaters at Suan Lom to cruise together on the streets to Rama 8
- 12pm. 2nd pick up by Bus in front of Preduce Siam for skaters and audience wanting to go straight to Rama 8
- 1pm. Every skater that want to join the competition have to be at Rama 8
- 1.30 - 3.30 pm. Open skate jam (anybody can join with a limit of 210 skaters). During those 2 hours, the judges will award cash to skaters that lands the best tricks for a total of 17'000 THB
- 4pm: Highest ollie contest
- 4.30 pm The best trick session will start on the big section. 30 skaters will already be invited to participate. 20 additional skaters will also be selected by the judges after the open skate jam based on who performed the best during the jam. So a total of 50 skaters will participate in the Best Trick session. The Best trick session will last for 2 hours. The 5 best skaters at the end of the best trick section will be awarded the remaining 40'000 thb of prize money as follow:
1. 20,000THB | 2. 10,000THB | 3. 5,000THB | 4. 3,000THB | 5. 2,000THB

Highest ollie contest winner: 3000 THB

7pm onward. Free concert with Brand New Sunset

SKATEVENTURE: SOUTH EAST ASIA TRAILER

In January 2011, Troy Bilbrough and Huw John longboarded from Mae Hong Song in Northern Thailand down to Singapore City. The total distance skated was 3500km which encompassed mountains , lakes , wild elephants and more...

They travelled self supported and camped in hammocks in the countryside , along the coast and in the hill tribes, they experienced some amazing things far off the beaten tourist trail and were lucky enough to see the 'real Thailand'.

Along the way they met so many amazing people who took us in and looked after them even though they looked like cavemen and hadn't showered in weeks , they cannot thank you enough for their genourosity.

SKATEVENTURE

Here's another one about longboarding long distance (distance skateboarding) adventure charity.

From the love of longboarding and the passion of adventure travel, Skateventure was born.

On January 2011, Troy Bilbrough & Huw John are skating 3200km across Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Their mission & journey is for the benefit of Canteen New Zealand, which supports teenagers and their families who are living with cancer.

Skateventure will begin their journey on January 15 2011, in Pai Mae Hong Son; Northern Thailand. Then from Phuket they will be skating down the west coast towards Malaysia; and enter Malaysia through road 4184 and longboard down the western coast towards Kuala Lumpur and end in Singapore.

They have plan to skate the smaller roads as is it is illegal to skate on the highways in Malaysia. While in Malaysia, they will meet up with The Longboarders Guild and the Malaya Street Bombers and skate some of the local spots. They might drop by at Wheel Love Skateshop too.
