G.O.S @ GALAXIE & YOUTH CARNIVAL 2011
Recently, members of the The Star Publications came to few local school in Penang to promote the carnival to be held at Penang Times Square on 9th and 10th April 2011 to the students during recess time. They also brought along The Star newspapers to sell at a promotional price to inculcate good reading habit among the students. Students who bought the newspapers were given free complimentary issue of The Galaxie magazine. The event is known as Galaxie & Youth Carnival and featured Skateboarding competition as one part of the side event.

Interesting jam session event to promote skateboarding and eco-friendly sports in conjunction of the Earth Hour Day. Mission is to get to know all skateboarders and promote eco-friendly sports and transportation to the Johor society / community and off course the whole world. This is an awareness campaign by Mass Communication students, SEGi University College, Kota Damansara.
Main objective of this campaign is to encourage online addicts to come out and engage in healthy activities.
• Encouraging addicts to engage themselves in fun activities and enjoy themselves.
• To remind them that there are more in life apart than Facebook.
They will have futsal competition, wall climbing and skateboard competition. Great prizes are waiting for you people. Come out and have a healthier and challenging life.

Troy Bilbrough & Huw John had reached Kuala Terngganu yesterday with the escort of our friend Jes M Izaidin from Malaya Street Bombers. Here's what they wrote on their facebook wall:
"Had to visit the hospital due to some sort of allergic reaction, but otherwise life is sweet as, we have reached Kuala Terengganu and are feasting on the local delicacies of Keropok lekor and Nasi Dagang. We are camping on the beach and loving everything Malaysia has to offer!"
Jes M Izaidin will escorted Troy and How from Perlis and will continue skate till they reach Lion City.
