POWEREDGE IS ALIVE AGAIN!

I'm sure a lot of you never heard of this mag. But they used to be amongst the popular skate magazine back in the late 80's besides Thrasher. ANOTHER UNLUCKY SKATER @ PCP

Pa'Din tagged this photo on my facebook account. Kinda shocked and feel bad to see friends getting injured like that. Before, it was Ricky CE at Putrajaya Challenge Park (PCP) and now it's Pali's turn. I was told that Pali had the accident last Wednesday with Ed, bumed to each other and Pali were like flipping and hit the ground. Thank God he is ok now (skated with Pali yesterday). An advised to all, always look around first before you skate or approach an obstacle. Especially in an open park with many skaters and flows from everywhere. Secondly, please wear the helmet if you have one, it may safe your life one day. Remember, medical bills is more expensive than your helmet and other protecive gear. Skate smart not retard!

PHYSICAL DISABILITIES SKATEBOARDERS

Apart from John Comer, the first professional skateboarder with a prosthetic limb and the famous Brasilian pro, Og de Souza. Amped Riders is also the first team of athletes with physical disabilities that represents Adaptive Action Sports, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. AAS’s mission statement is: Adaptive Action Sports creates and promotes opportunities for individuals with permanent physical disabilities to participate in "Action Sports" and the art and music scene that follows them. They create opportunities through grants and events. So, instead of being a team of athletes that represents a city or a company, the Amped Riders team represents a socially beneficial non-profit organization. They also represent the idea that, with the proper motivation and support, a person with physical disabilities can still pursue their passion for action sports. They ride to inspire and to be inspired. Support them! Check tons of videos of Amped riders in the forum.

ALAM DAMAI SKATEPARK, CHERAS

A kid name Shah (Hakim), posted about this skatepark in our forum sometime April last year and we haven't heard from him since. So one day i was working onsite near Alam Damai (early this year), had my camera together and dropped by to the park.

So far, no further details who built it or what so ever but maybe you all wanna go there and try it out (surface kinda rough anyway). Skatepark location is in Alam Damai Recreational Park - Jalan Damai Rasa 18, Damai Rasa, Taman Alam Damai, Cheras. Anyway, Check out more photos here
