H1N1 PRECAUTION & PROTECTIVE MASK

Dear all,

We strongly advise all skateboarders and supporters wear a mask especially if you are in a crowded areas such as in skateboard events, malls, public transports, carnivals, night clubs, gig, concert, weddings, hospitals, etc. For example, look at Terry Kennedy (above photo) who showed up at Maloof Cup recently by wearing a mask.

This might help to prevent from getting the virus spreading easily. A mask cost as cheap as RM1 but the jab flu vaccince (which is still under trial) cost you about RM2-3k per jab (but i heard now drop to RM500 per jab). So think, there's nothing to shy about of wearing a protective mask. It might not only safe you but your love ones too (ie: parents, brothers and sisters, cousins, nephew, children, friends, fiance, etc)

In Japan, people will wear dusk masks when they have a cold, to avoid spreading their germs to others; in Taiwan, scooter-driving citizens wear them because the traffice fumes are bad (the haze is bad in KL too). But in Mexico, people wearing them to avoid catching the swine flu (H1N1) have decided to block germs in style.

SKATE SAFE TODAY, SKATE AGAIN TOMORROW!

Person-to-person transmission of swine influenza may occur. It is thought to occur in the same way as seasonal flu happens in people, which is mainly person-to-person transmission through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza virus infections. People can become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their nose or mouth.
