Sk8 Comp @ UiTM, Samarahan, Sarawak - This just came in yesterday from our forum members from Sarawak. A Sk8 comp inconjuction of UiTM Open Day event.

NEW MAGAZINE COMING SOON

The news has been spread out fast. A new local skateboard independent magazine is on it's way. We hope it's going to be much better (in terms of contents and honest write ups) than the so-called Skateboard magazine in the market. We heard they are bunch of well known skateboarders doing behind the work. Heard it's going to be called SHIFTY magazine. Watch out!!!

SKATEMALAYSIA IN TV3 MHI (UPDATES!!)

Check out MHI tomorrow (Tuesday) morning around 8:00 - 9:00am. We (Wan Kedah & Boy Ipoh) are going to be on TV3 famous morning talk show (MHI) LIVE at Dataran Sri Pentas together with Am Cheras, Joe Ipoh, Daus, Fauzan and Haziq talking about the skateboarding scene in Malaysia. Don't miss it!!!

"GAINING MOMENTUM" (THE STAR)

Once again extreme sports were covered in The Star today in Youth 2 pull out section TODAY. Getting in the story behind of the lacks of recognition in the sports with various extreme sport atheletes. The articles today were published due to the previous interview with our editor, Adlan aka Boy Ipoh who mentioned this "It's a bit sad that some of our skateboaders are unable to secure sponsors to compete internationally. We have a lot of pro skateboarders but they are not recognised.....". The STAR then requested to interview more people in various extreme sports on this matter. So Boy gave them their contacts number and this includes ESAM.

REVIEW + Interview : Translations DVD

*After a year of filming skateboarding in various countries such as in China, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Malaysia, France, Korea, Thailand, Sweden, Singapore, United States, Poland, Hong Kong, Morocco and even Vietnam, Translations is now complete. It was not an easy task to film skateboarding in unexplored environments and foreign cultures. Dealing with sketchy Police Officers in Morocco, food poisoning in Asia, searching for skateboarding spots on Mopeds in Vietnam, was part of our everyday challenges while shooting for Translations. This film features the skateboarding of Nolan Lee, Malcolm Tallgard, Max Beinhofer, Samuel Beyer, Patrick Boes, Daniel Hochman, Michael Mackrodt and various friends from around the world.
