SKATEBOARDING IN AFGHANISTAN
A while ago, we have the Uganda Muslims skateboard scene in the eye. Now it seems that skateboarding have invaded the Afghanistan. Check out SkateISTAN; a website on skateboarding in AfghanISTAN.
Skateistan is Afghanistan’s first dedicated co-educational skateboarding school run by Australian skateboarders Oliver Percovich, Sharna Nolan and Travis Beard. The school will engage with the growing numbers of urbanised youth in Kabul through skateboarding and provide new opportunities in cross-cultural interaction and education. They will initially focus on 60 students from a range of different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Student capacity will be developed in skateboarding, skateboarding instruction, project management, life skills and English. Their aim is to develop a program that empowers youth to take leadership on issues important to them and build networks that will counter current ethnic barriers.
Support our Muslims brothers!!!! Keep on skating and grind all the AK47!!!

Please take note that PUSH event is going to be a one day event instead of 2 as they've mentioned it on the previous flier. The contest will be the 1st of a kind in Malaysia. Back to back on 2 ledges means you have to performed the best combination or 2 best tricks on the obstacles given. Take a sneak pick at the Matix Lords of the Lines at youtube for example. Same thing and I guess this is what Back to Back contest is about. Am i right Aie? Anyway, Push 1st official clothing will be launching at night after the contest; together with the band performances and prize giving ceremony. See you there lads.

Also there's a small section where KOSMO did a reviewed on our web on page 19. See the online version here (our web review only available in the newspaper version).
Besides that, there's another story too on page 20 with Junior and fresh blood skaters Anis,11, and Arina (Triangle), 16, sharing their experience in the new era of skateboarding generation. Click here to view the online version.

JAY ADAMS: FREEMAN
After more than two-and-a-half years behind bars, skate legend Jay Adams; 47 years old, was released on Monday morning, July 7, from the Federal Correctional Institution in Sheridan, Oregon. Bussed to Portland and flown to LAX, Jay will be spending a few months at a halfway home in Southern California before moving in with his wife, Alisha, and their toddler daughter, Venice. He’s also been offered a job as facilities manager at Hurley headquarters in Costa Mesa.
According to his friends and family, if Jay blows it one more time, he’s going back to prison for the rest of his life. Hope Jay can hold it all together and stay clean. It's tough being an addict and its one of the hardest habits to shake. Good luck and best wishes to Jay Boy - Skatemalaysia
